Our team at Reynolds Roofing understands that your home is important to you, and we want to help you do what’s best for it. For example, at some point you may need to have a new roof installed, which is a service that our experienced team is more than able to provide. In this article, we’ll give you an overview of how the roofing installation process works so you can know what to expect.
- Site Preparation- Before we get started on the roofing installation process itself, we’ll make sure to protect your property. We will cover your nearby shrubs and other landscaping elements to protect them from any falling debris, and we’ll bring a construction dumpster to contain all the old roofing material and any scraps that we produce.
- Removal- The first real step in the roofing installation process is to remove the old roof. We will tear away your old shingles, and then examine your old sheathing to see if it has been damaged. If there are damaged areas, we will carefully cut the old sheathing away and replace it with new material to ensure that your new roof provides effective, reliable protection.
- Roof Preparation- The next step is to install all the underlayment and other materials (such as the drip edge) that will ensure your roof provides seamless protection from the rain.
- Installation of Shingles- Lastly, our team will install your new shingles, making sure that each is placed precisely in order to create an impenetrable barrier against moisture. Once we’re finished with that, we’ll inspect your roof to make sure everything is installed correctly, clean up your yard, and haul away the debris.
